I told my girlfriend that I would take her to a strip club, now she is mad and says I am petty! what should i do?

Dear Brian,

I don't know many women who do enjoy going to a strip club. A strip club is demeaning because it makes women out to be an object, where your girlfriend would transpose your image of the objects on to her and she would feel like she isn't a person.

Also, your girlfriend may have feelings of inadequacy which would be compounded by a trip to the strip club. If she doesn't feel she is beautiful enough or thin enough, your comparing these women to her by your visit will add to those feelings.

If you want to go, go alone. Otherwise, make it up to her by making her feel beautiful. Give her a glamour photo session, or just simply apologize and tell her that she is the most beautiful girl in your life.
