There is something very powerful poetically about groups of three. What are three virtues that your loved one possesses? List these and in your own words communicate, "Few people possess one of these in its purest form. You, however, have all three." CXVI Love that is tested over time is refined like precious gold. What are some of the hardships your relationship has faced and overcome? Select one or two and touch on them briefly, or describe the forever quality you desire for your love. LXXXV It is always nice to hear, "My friends/family think you're great." What compliments have you received from others lately about your significant other? Share them with him/her here. Talk about how much you agree, how they don't even know the half of it... XLVII When do you really think about your sweetheart? What are your favorite memories of time shared? Tell how much you think of him/her; name the particular things you recall. Remember that above all, it is the heart behind the words that really matters. (And that poetry doesn't have to rhyme.) As even the Bard himself admitted, "Look in your glass, and there appears a face/That overgoes my blunt invention quite,/Dulling my lines and doing me disgrace." (Well, if Shakespeare's writing is "blunt" and a "disgrace," you should see mine!) © 2000 Heather Tomasello, Rights retained by author. Please do not duplicate without permission.
