Until "I do": A Husband-to-Be's Guide to Romance During the Engagement

"Will you marry me?"

You will never forget the moment you asked the woman you love to become your wife. The proposal took weeks, maybe even months to plan. In the end, even you were surprised by how romantic you could be. It was a wonderful moment. Now, the planning for the wedding is in full force and your future wife is stressed out, your families are arguing about silly details, and you're trying to do anything just to keep your fiancee sane!

In this hectic time of planning for the wedding, romance may be the last thing on your mind. You may be just trying to survive until the Big Day (and maybe even wondering what you've gotten yourself into. Elopement is looking better each day, right?) However, now is not the time to neglect your wife-to-be and romance in your relationship. If anything, now is the time to really pamper her!

A Message A Day

One thing that I did for my fiancee, Jennica, to alleviate stress and remind her of my feelings for her was to create a message-a-day pad. At the beginning of our engagement, I took a couple post it note pads and dated each one, counting down until our marriage. On each day I wrote a little note of love, something to make her feel cherished even when tensions are running high. She has been reading one each day and keeping a book of them. I know she appreciates this small reminder of my feelings for her.
