Picture It

Take lots of pictures during your engagement and create a scrapbook for your wife-to-be. She is probably so busy right now that she can't take pictures of this process. These are the kinds of pictures wedding photographers don't take -- the ring bearer being fitted for his tuxedo, your fiancee falling asleep on the couch surrounded by Bride magazines.

I know that most guys don't like creating scrapbooks - I certainly don't! That is one of the reasons it will be so meaningful to your fiancee. Doing something you wouldn't normally shows her how much you care.

Shhhh!

Ban wedding talk a couple of days each month during the engagement. One thing we are tired of is discussing the wedding with everyone that we know. The most common question we hear now is "Do you have everything done for the wedding?" (And generally it is the same people asking us, over and over again!)

Take some time out and take your future wife out for a date and talk about everything but the wedding. The time out will be appreciated by both of you.

Remember that beyond your wedding lies your marriage. One lasts for a day, the other a lifetime. Keeping romance throughout your engagement will help you and your wife-to-be to survive the stress and strengthen your love for a lifetime.
