In the middle of the night, put a rose outside her window with a little note telling her how much you love here. Then call her in the morning and tell her to look outside her window. She will go crazy.

Excellent, she will never forget it.  I have been married for 25 years.  I remember the first romantic thing that my future husband did for me was to leave a wildflower on my pillow with a little note saying "dream of me".  I still have the note and the flower and I still get so happy and excited when I think about it.
