Your loved one will love a weekend planned in the keys or at a beach resort, have dinner on the ocean and enjoy the scenery together, drink dance and make love. the atmosphere will make you feel as though you have nothing to do but enjoy nature and each other.

Be waiting for him when he gets home from work, candles lit, soft music playing, and his favorite meal fresh out of the oven. After dinner take him out for a walk under the stars, maybe go to a small cafe for after dinner coffee, someplace quiet, and relaxed.

Cut out stars from construction paper, or a heavy duty paper and hang them by fishing line from the ceiling. Cut the string in all different lengths so some of the stars will hang lower than the others. Have plenty of candles burning and ask your significant other to join you for an evening of dancing under the stars. It is a romantic evening for when it is too cold to be outside!

Go on a drive and have your passenger blind folded and either say right, left or straight and see where you end up.

Plan a scavenger hunt for your beau around your town. Leave little notes all over town leading him to new places. At each place have him pick something up for the evening (like food, movies, etc.) One of my favorite places to send him to is Victoria's Secret! Let him pick out something that HE likes. If you want to get really creative, make the notes into little rhymes. This idea takes a LOT of planning, but trust me, it's worth the time!

find a good vantage point for watching the sunset, and set up a picnic, complete with champagne, strawberries, oysters... whatever you want & whatever you know will catch your honey's fancy... scatter rose petals around & light tea candles... and have him/her meet you there at what should be the best point in the sunset

Go bowling. Pretend you are the only people there. Dance whenever you get a strike (or even hit a pin). Do 'trick rolls' together. Make up funny names for each other to put on the overhead screen. Kiss each other between every turn. If you want to make this date romantic as well as fun call ahead and reserve a lane. Cover the area with rose petals and have one of the tables set up with a rose and a nice dinner.

By the time your done eating, the sun is down and you can watch the movie under the stars, while floating on a peaceful lake. Just make sure your laptop doesn't get wet.

If you live close to a beach, wake up about 30 mins before the sunrise and set out a warm blanket, a stereo with a mix of your personal love songs, and stick a letter in a bottle saying "The sun will rise and the sun will fall but my love for you would never rest at all" and then plant the bottle in the sand. Next go wake up your partner and bring them there and watch the sunset together, play your songs and read the love note. He/she will love you forever!

This date idea is for those who do not have the advantage of an ocean in their backyard. Tell your date you are taking them to the beach. Instead of the actual ocean buy some ocean sounds on a CD. Then take them to a local golf course sand trap, anyplace with sand works, bring a set of beach towels. This date works best if you can blindfold your partner or be somewhat secretive of how you are going to take them to the beach without journeying to the ocean. This also works better at sunset or night. Use your imagination and improve upon your personal ocean.

Meet someone you think is pretty. Don't talk to her for about one week and then talk to her again to see if she's going to the dance. If she can go and she doesn't have a date yet, give her the single red rose from behind your back. Go to the dance, make a little love, get out tonight... BONUS: Call up a limo service and get a ride to and from the dance while picking up your date and dropping her off at her house!

Stay in on a Saturday, get up early, read the paper together, eat what's ever in your cabinets (soup and sandwiches is a personal favorite!). Go out for a nice walk, stop at a store or two and enjoy the rest of the evening together. It's quality time spent, and you can dream about your later years together!

Here is an idea that on the onset seems a bit childish, but is very insightful. Obtain a coloring book and put both of your names in it. Supply crayons, colored pencils, markers and water colors for the both of you to color with. Start by coloring one page of the coloring book together. Each person takes turns coloring one part of the picture with whatever coloring impliment he/she wishes to use and in any fashion they wish to color the part they choose. Then it is the other person's turn. No artistic criticism allowed! Discuss why they chose that color, that implement, etc. When the coloring of that picture is finished, try to associate that picture to your relationship (from the colors, the implements used, the style and the overall appearance). Then do the same thing another day, only each person colors their own page.

First surprise her with some breakfast in bed. Then take her out shopping and be patient with her. After that, take her to a nice place to eat for lunch. Then take her to the beach for some tanning and playing in the water. Watch the sunset together as she lies in your arms. Then when it gets dark take her home and make some dinner or call for take out. When dinner is finished, cuddle up on the couch with a movie you both like (for special occasions, romantic movies would be best). Then after the movie is done ask her if she wants to dance. She most likely will say yes. Fall asleep in each others' arms.

My boyfriend took me camping for the very first time. He thought of everything - the flannel sheets and pillow cases, romantic wines, romantic campfires, the works. He ensured I had all the creature comforts. He showed me, a city girl, the stars and his affection. This was the weekend I told him I loved him for the first time.

Take time to think about each other, then sit together and write a letter to each other. Write from the heart, tell them what you appreciate about them and what you really like about them. Once you start writing it will just flow. Then exchange letters and read them together. This will bring you closer together...writing is easier than speaking sometimes.

Before the date, buy a dozen roses. Attach a note to each rose telling her where to find the next one. The most fun place to do this is the mall. Most couples go to a particular mall, a lot. To find the next rose have her try to remember funny things that happened in those stores. Give each rose to the sales clerk. The last rose should lead her to you, at your favorite mall restaurant, where you will treat her.

If you live in So. Cal, try going to the 3rd street promenade in Santa Monica in the evening on the weekends. Three or four blocks are blocked off and it is a strip of stores, cart vendors and people performing. It is really pretty, all the trees are lit by Christmas lights, they have romantic little cafes and eateries and when you are done with that, you can walk to the pier, go on the ferris wheel and walk down to the beach for a nice talk. It only costs you gas, and the price of food.
