You don't always have to act grown-up. Go out and do some childish things together, like in winter have a snowball fight, or in spring or summer go to the park and play.
Put a letter in the inside of the shower saying, "no words in the world can explain the way I feel about you... these 3 are the simplest..." Take 5 roses and tape the words I love (heart shaped) you (u) to the inside shower wall.

go to your local crafts store and buy a heart shaped box big enough to hold a key (preferably a skeleton key), decorate the box however you like. Then place the key at the very bottom and secure it tightly, fill the box with her favorite flower pedals. Create a crossword for your sweetie. Use memories, favorite attributes, and events from your relationship as the answers, and get creative with your clues.
Surprise your special someone with a trail of Hershey kisses, or rose petals, make them trail around your house, going from one room to another, and you be hiding in the bedroom, with the door closed. When he or she enters, you will both be ready for a romantic evening.

Use a quote or create own poem of your favorite personality trait in your partner, burn edges of paper, add your photos, then frame it.
Make a love heart with candles and "I Love You (their name)" writing in candles too.
Put together a book filled with entries about the wonderful times you have shared so far and souvenirs like movie stubs or matchbook covers. Add illustrations, photos, even create a wordsearch or crossword puzzle. Surprize him/her with it when it's full.
After a good snow, spray paint "I Love You" in red on top of the snow in her front yard. Do it in the middle of the night so she will see it first thing in the morning.
Purchase some of her favorite candy, wrap it up in brightly colored foil. Make one for each day of your vacation. Hide one packet each day for her to find!
Burn a good sized candle so wax is melted all the way to the edge (5 in width at least). Blow it out and write a dot-message using a pointed object. Messages can change every time you burn the candle!!
Shape whipped cream in a form of a heart on a silver platter with a note attached saying, "You've got me whipped."

Write your loved one that special letter and use romantic graphics as a background or borders. Make a trip to the post office, purchase a "Love" envelope, and have the envelope post marked BUT don't mail it yet. Find a fancy picture frame large enough for the letter and envelope.
